My boyfriend gave this to me today: a fingerboard deck with a custom made design. The amount of meaning attached to this little piece of wood is amazing. First of all, the design was made by a friend of ours who is a great illustrator, the same friend that introduced us a few months ago. They’ve been secretly working on this since november with my boyfriend here in Portugal and the artist in Kassel, Germany. The car, a Renault 4L, has the most meaning. It was my grandfather’s car when I was a little kid and it’s something that has brightened my days ever since he passed away 2 years ago today. Every time I see one I just get a huge smile on my face and I’ve been planning to get it tattooed for a while. André gave it to me today without knowing the date had such meaning and that made it all the more perfect. On the license plate you can read “1991”, our birth year and “12”, the day we became a couple. I love him. He’s a keeper :)
